Did you enjoy the retelling of this story at home by the wonderful KC students?
It was the Very Hungry Caterpillar's 46th birthday on the 20th of March. KC couldn't let this birthday go past without a special celebration. We held a 'Very Hungry Caterpillar Day' at school on Monday. The slideshow below captures the enjoyment we had revisiting this very special story. We celebrated the 111th birthday of Dr Seuss today by reading and enjoying some of his books in class today. We also made some finger puppets of the characters from his book 'The Lorax'. We love his stories because of all the rhyming words he uses and the funny things that happen in his books. If you would like to enjoy some more activities to celebrate Dr Seuss's birthday please visit the Seussville website.
What is your favourite Dr Seuss book? KC adored the book 'The Kissing Hand' this week and we made our own special kissing hands. We used water colour paints to decorate our hands and chose a coloured heart to paste in the centre. Our hands were made with love. Please listen to the story being read by the author herself, Audrey Penn. |
